What makes Rapé Anaúa distinct

There are times when we live as though we must make everything happen: resolve, decide, push, sustain.

We can forget that there is another way to take part in life: receive, listen, wait, perceive and let something emerge.

For us, Anaúa opens that territory. We call it the sacred feminine because we relate it to receptivity, intuition, gentleness and creativity.

How we understand it

In our ceremonial experience, Anaúa has a quality we associate with making room: room to listen, receive, perceive before acting and allow creativity to find a form without forcing it.

Within this reading, gentleness can be a way of staying present without hardening in response to what we live through.

Receptivity lets us recognize what arrives before immediately deciding what to do with it. Intuition opens a way of knowing that often first appears as a sensation, direction or perception.

We do not associate Anaúa with any one chakra. For us, its territory is the sacred feminine: receptivity, gentleness, intuition and creativity as ways of relating to ourselves, others and life.

Origin and Production

Ancestrina’s rapés are made directly by elders of the Marubo, Munduruku, and Yanomami tribes in Brazil, with whom we maintain a direct relationship.

These preparations are made for Ancestrina based on each community’s traditional knowledge. When a variety contains tobacco, the tobacco used is rustic Amazonian tobacco grown by the communities themselves.

Each rapé retains its ingredients, but it does not follow an industrial formula with identical proportions. The quantities may vary from one batch to another depending on the knowledge and intuition of the Mayor who prepares it.
