Peyote, which comes from the word nahuatl, either jicurí in tongue wixarika, seems to mean something similar etymologically as “consciousness stimulation plant” and is a cactus from northern Mexico and southern United States, whose medicinal and entheogenic properties have been used for millennia by indigenous communities for medicinal uses, therapeutic and spiritual.
