    At Ancestrina, we associate Canela de Velho with bonds, loyalties and inherited burdens.<\/p>\n

    Belonging is a deeply human need. Our family, history and the people we love shape how we learn to live in the world. But belonging can also have a cost.<\/p>\n

    Sometimes we follow a direction that no longer feels our own to avoid disappointing someone. We stay silent to preserve an apparent harmony, care for others until we abandon ourselves, repeat relationship patterns we no longer recognize as ours or feel guilt when we choose something different from what our family expected.<\/p>\n

    Canela de Velho invites us to examine those loyalties and recognize what we want to keep from our history and what we need to live differently.<\/p>\n

    We also relate it to the feminine. In our reading, the feminine is a symbolic language available to anyone, associated with bonds, care, receptivity, belonging and the capacity to nurture.<\/p>\n
